Laura Valdés is a Visual Communication Designer and Illustrator from Cuba based in Northern Mexico. Laura graduated from Superior Institute of Design in Havana, Cuba in Visual Communication and Graphic Design and holds a MSc in Design Management and Innovation from Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Since 2012 she has developed projects in different disciplines like Editorial Design, Branding, Social Media, Advertising and UI/UX, paired with her academic work as a design professor and researcher. Her work as a freelance digital illustrator is driven by experimentation with colors, proportions and the correlation between shapes and lines. Her approach in the conceptualization of an artwork is full of vibrant visuals that aims to support and inspire viewers. Laura's illustration style is continually developing whilst exploring herself creatively.
